Self-esteem

Self-esteem reflects a person's feelings about his or her own self.  The gap between how a person sees them self and how they would like to be, determines the strength of their self-esteem.  Being comfortable with who you are and confident in your abilities is a key to school and personal success.  Provide a supportive environment for your child encouraging them to take risks.  Accept mistakes and let them know they are loved and valued for who they are.
