PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Chichester High School Website.  Our goal is to provide you with pertinent information regarding your child's academic and extracurricular opportunities at the high school.  Our administration, faculty and staff continuously work to provide a safe and educationally sound environment for all children.

A recent renovation project was completed in 2002.  Our building serves grades 9 through 12 with approximately 1200 students currently enrolled.  Our 3 administrators, 85 faculty and 18 dedicated support staff strongly believe in the academic and social growth of our community's young adults.  This year's school theme is "RAISE THE BAR".  The 9th grade transition program continues in its third year where for half the day our 9th graders are housed in the D-wing creating an academic, social and environmental bridge between our district's middle school and high school.  Many different school and community activities are supported by the high school.

As this district's flagship, we display Chi Pride with our academic and co-curricular achievements.  Along with our 9th grade transition program and daily schedule of academic classes, we offer freshman seminar, senior seminar, SAT prep, core standards and vocational programs to help meet the diverse needs of our students.

In addition to our traditional educational offerings, Chichester High School has cooperative educational agreements with DCCC/Riddle Memorial Hospital integrated into our allied health curriculum and a similar program with the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.  Both programs afford Chichester students the opportunity to earn college credits.  Our school offers 8 AP courses that meet 8 times during a 6 day cycle.

We are proud of our numerous co-curricular programs that include: Band, Chorus, School Newspaper, Yearbook, Ski Club, and the Spring Musical.  Our athletic department includes 22 different varsity programs and 3 different freshmen programs.

We pride ourselves in offering a wide range of opportunities for all students.  We hope your visit to our website is enjoyable and if you have any questions about any of our programs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
