The children are very busy, as always.

Language Arts

          We are working on letters, letter sounds, and sight words and of course our writing.  Please encourage your child to write in their take home journal.  They can write about activities they are involved in, lists, any topic of interest, the goal is to have them practice their writing.

100 Book challenge

                   PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, read with your child every night.  Each child should be bringing home three books every night.  Please have your child read the book to two different listeners.  Please put a sticker, star, or your initials on the log sheet to let me know that your child has completed his/her homework.  This is a major component of the 100 Book Challenge program. I, we, need your total support.  If you have questions or concerns please contact me.  Thank-you for your continued support.

Rewards

When all the children read 500 books we will celebrate with a Beach Party.  The children are eagerly awaiting the celebrations.   

Please remember we need your continued support and help to attain these goals. 

Math

          We are counting and writing the numbers from 1-100.  Please practice this with your child.  In class the children will be working on numbers from 1-30.  We are always reviewing and relearning previous tasks taught.

BOOKS

          Please remember that we are always in need of books

to read.  If you have children’s books and you would like to

donate them to the 100 book library we would greatly

welcome them and thank-you for your donation.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD RETURN THE 100 Book Challenge Books to School everyday, and remember they need to read when we are not in school.  Thank-you for your cooperation.
