A Message from Your Counselors:
Welcome Back to School! This year will be an exciting year for all of our students. As the fifth grade students begin to adjust to middle school, many of our eighth grade students are already looking forward to high school. The students in sixth grade were welcomed back to familiar faces as those in seventh grade shared the joy of becoming upper classmen.

Description of Counseling Services:
Counseling services are available to all of our Middle School students. Students will be assigned a counselor at the start of school that will stay with them for two school years. Some services that are provided by the school counselor include, but not are limited to:
  • individual and small group counseling
  • new student scheduling
  • monitoring student academic progress
  • crisis counseling
  • help students develop coping skills to deal with social and emotional pressures
  • conflict resolution
Confidentiality:
An important component of the counseling relationship is the understanding of confidentiality. Counselors are obligated both ethically and legally to maintain the confidentiality of information they receive from a student within the context of a counseling setting. Information shared by a student may only be disclosed to protect the student or others from harm.
