MH Faculty & Staff Marcus Hook Title I > Title I in Chi
The Title I Program (part of the No Child Left Behind Act, the new education law signed by President Bush on January 8, 2002) is a federally funded program designed to provide supplemental services in reading to children in public and non-public schools who are not achieving at the levels expected of children of their age and grade placement. The Title I Program in the Chichester School District is available to students in Marcus Hook and Linwood Elementary Schools. Highly qualified teachers supplement classroom instruction through guided practice and reinforcement activities in language arts in the classroom. Students may receive additional tutoring, if needed, during the school day in the Title I Learning Center. An After-School Reading Club is also offered at each elementary school. Children are selected to participate in the Title I Reading Program based on teacher recommendation, classroom performance and reading tests. ~ Click Here to view Marcus Hook Parent Involvement Policy ~ Click Here to view the Parent Notification of Professional/Paraprofessional Qualifications This page last updated 09/05/2007 Chichester School District Copyright © 2003 |
